Schools White Paper 2026

The Government issued the White Paper on SEND in February 2026 which sets out proposals to reform the SEND system, including EHCP’s and the Tribunal system. We are waiting for a date when it will start it’s journey through parliament. Until this becomes law, the current procedures still apply.

Thanks to a grant from the National Lottery Community Fund we are recruiting:

A Development Worker to join our Team supporting parents through the assessment of their child’s needs, helping parents in lodging their case for a Tribunal hearing and through other educational issues. Training will be given.
15 hours per week £12.75 per hour. Working from our office on the Norwich Airport Estate.
The job is subject to a 3 month probationary period.

Brickmakers Charity Auction in aid of Norfolk SEN Network 23rd November 25

Come along to our live charity auction event on Sunday 23rd November at 7pm at the Brickmakers Pub, Sprowston Road Norwich where our Charity Ambassador and landlady of the Brickmakers, Claire Brooks, will be giving you a chance to bid on some unique items that would make great Christmas gifts!

Included in the auction is an Essex County Cricket bat – signed by the 2022 team, including Alastair Cook, former England Captain and Sam Cook, and a signed Jamie Carragher jersey, former Liverpool defender who made 508 appearances for Liverpool FC over 17 years between 1996 and 2013. Also in the line-up is a £100 Airbnb voucher and a 1 litre bottle of Jameson whiskey and more prizes on the evening!

Coffee Morning on Transport with James Brown from SEN Legal

We are excited to welcome James Brown From SEN Legal for our upcoming coffee morning Friday 24th October 2025. James is a specialist solicitor at SEN Legal representing parents and carers in the SEND Tribunal in appeals against the contents of EHC Plans, refusal to issue EHC Plans, refusal to carry out EHC Needs Assessments, Cease to Maintain and Disability Discrimination Claims. James also specialises in issues relating to transport for children and young people with SEN, and also in exclusions from school. James will be speaking about Legislation that covers transport, right to appeal, eligibility and local policy that stands alongside legislation. You can book your space HERE
